A preview version of Internet Explorer 10 has been released by Microsoft, the latest version of Internet Explorer will introduce some changes, and one of those changes is the lack of support for Windows Vista and XP.

When Internet Explorer 9 was released, it didn’t support Windows XP. Internet Explorer 10 will not have Vista support because Windows 7 is becoming the dominant operating system on the market. In addition, Windows 8 is on its way, so Microsoft is really trying to put an end on XP and Vista, and keep Windows 7 and Windows 8 as the dominant operating systems.

Recently Microsoft has released Internet Explorer 9, it seems that a new version of Internet Explorer will be released in the near future, and speaking of which, a preview version of Internet Explorer 10 is available for download now.

During the annual MIX conference, Microsoft announced that their latest browser, Internet Explorer 10 would be available for download in a preview mode, and although it’s in its early stage, it will evolve over time. As for IE 10, it continues what its predecessor left off by improving HTML5 and CSS3 support.

Microsoft is trying to implement CSS3 features such as Multi-column Layout, Grid Layout, Flexible Box Layout, and CSS3 Gradients, and we should see Transitions and 3D Transforms someday in the future. As for future updates, we should see a new preview at least once per quarter.

We don’t know when we will see a full version of Internet Explorer 10 released, but it’s a nice thing to see that Microsoft has decided to release newer releases of Internet Explorer on a more frequent basis.

You have heard about Opera Barracuda before, and now we’ve got a chance to try the final version of Opera Barracuda, or simply Opera 11.10, so let’s see what it has to offer.

First thing that you’ll notice with Opera 11.10 is a new and improved Speed Dial feature. Now you’re not limited to a certain number dials and you can have as many dials as you like, and if needed, Speed Dial will scroll so you can access all of your dials in just a few clicks. Of course, improved Speed Dial isn’t the only addition in Opera 11.10; there are all sorts of minor changes that should enhance user experience.

For example, the browser now searches for missing plug-in and offers to install them for you, so you won’t have to search plug-in on your own again. New Opera uses less battery power which is quite important for laptops, and it supports Google’s WebP and new web standards such as CSS3 gradients and the W3C Web Open Font Format. Some minor tweaks include better Gmail IMAP support in the built-in mail client and a search suggestion page that appears for misspelled URLs.

The world’s largest producer of microprocessors has about launched its Intel Atom platform, codenamed “Oak Trail”, which will equip 35 of tablet PCs starting next month.

Over 35 innovative tablets and other devices created by companies such as Evolve III, Fujitsu Limited, Lenovo, Motion Computing, Razer and Viliv will be based on “Oak Trail”. In addition, at the Intel Developer Forum in Beijing, the company will preview its upcoming 32nm Intel Atom platform, codenamed “Cedar Trail”. This solution will allow a new range of innovative devices, quiet, fanless – netbooks, entry-level desktops and all-in-one PCs. Intel Atom Z670 allows applications to run on different operating systems, including Google Android, Windows and MeeGo. This unique flexibility provides new experiences and provides more options when it comes to Tablet PCs and other equipment.

The next generation of this platform, called Cedar Trail, will be based on the Intel 32 nm manufacturing technology and will include improvements to graphics capabilities, including support for Blu-ray 2.0, the average engine dedicated to full 1080p playback and options for digital display including HDMI and DisplayPort.

The latest plan of Google on their popular web browser, have been trying to improve the security of Google Chrome with some new features and one of which is to try and warn you about downloading malicious files.

Although Chrome is one of the safest, it’s not the safest browser on the internet; it still doesn’t offer proper protection against malicious files that users can easily find across the web. This new feature is an addition to Safe Browsing API that has been present since the early days of Chrome, and it will analyze files that you’re downloading and it will give you a warning in case your file is infected with malware.

So far, this feature will only work with .exe files, and we would like to mention that it doesn’t scan the files like an antivirus, instead this feature relies on Google’s Safe Browsing API black list of malicious websites, and if the .exe file comes from one of those sites, you’ll get a proper warning.

Although this isn’t the best solution, it will add additional security for not so tech-savvy Google Chrome users; we should expect to see this feature in the next stable release of Chrome.

The real fans will enjoy the Gears of War 3 beta officially kicks off on Monday, April 18, for Bulletstorm “Epic Edition” owners, followed by the April 25 entrance of those who pre-ordered via GameStop. Whatever way you plan on getting your hands on a copy, you will need Xbox Live Gold membership to be able to enjoy it all. As this will be the first time Gears 3 goes public, here’s a quick video preview of what’s expected to come.

If all goes as expected, be sure to log in at 0900 EST because you should then be able to head over to the beta, and enjoy unlocked weapons, medals and skins through the various achievements. We are sure that more than one person would have wanted their iPhone 4 to be white, but since its launch the only available color was black. As rumor has it, starting next week we might see in every Apple store the much anticipated white iPhones 4 – finally.  The iPhone 4 wasn’t available in white because of manufacturing issues, there were problems with the white paint being easily peeled off, especially under heat, but now it seems that Apple has fixed these problems so we might see the iPhone 4 in white soon.

The white iPhone 4 will be available from both AT&T and Verizon Wireless in the US by the end of April in case rumors prove it to be true. I’m sure that many users will want to buy the new white iPhone 4 if it does arrive later this month. As Apple prepares to launch the white iPhone 4, the rumor mills have started to talk about a possible delay in the release of the iPhone 5 which many are expecting this summer.

The new Nokia X7 will run on a new version of Symbian, which is known as Symbian Anna PR2. This new operating system has an improved on-screen keyboard, a better browser, an enhanced Ovi Map and so aims to provide an overall better user experience.

The price for this new device will be around 380 Euros and it will be available in Q2, as to its performances we’ll just have to wait until it’s launched before we can provide any further comment.

Since Nokia has announced its partnership with Microsoft, the company hasn’t released any Windows Phone 7 device, but that doesn’t mean that Nokia will stop working on new devices of their own. Now Nokia has announced two new Symbian based smartphones – the X7 and the E6.

Fujifilm has recently unveiled a new compact point and shoot – Finepix Z900 EXR.The new 16 megapixel camera and its amazing 3.5 inch screen makes this camera a must have.

According to the press release from Fujifilm, the follow-up to the excellent Z700 EXR, is sure to “set tongues wagging,” this “undeniably glamorous addition to Fujifilm’s spring 2011 collection” and it is “set to become the must-have camera for Fashionistas this season.” Despite the fluff, when you look closer, the camera itself does offer some serious substance to go with its style. Heading up the list of features is an all-new 16 megapixel EXR-CMOS sensor which allows for shooting in bright sunlight and dull indoor conditions thanks to a combination of Back Side Illuminated (BSI) sensor and triple-layer EXR array. It also has up to ISO 6400 available.

It comes with a 16 megapixel sensor with a 3.5-inch touch screen and is capable of 1080p full HD video recording. Fujifilm believes that the CMOS senzor will improve the sensitivity of the camera, so you get sharper images regardless of brightness. The low light is not a problem for Finepix Z900 EXR. It also comes with handy features like Face Detection, 1600% wide dynamic range and up to 12fps high speed shooting.

There is a 3fps continuous shooting mode, so you will not lose anything, 5x optical zoom, and feature full HD recording in H.264, occupying less space on your SD card than the standard AVI file types. In addition, you can watch your videos directly on TV via HDMI.

The large 3.5 in touch screen, which takes up most of the back of the camera, includes 460,000 pixels and multi-touch functionality including pinch-to-zoom. The improved viewing options are added to with a mini-HDMI out port allowing you to view your images on a larger screen. Speed is also a feature of the Z900EXR allowing you to snap 3 frames per second at 16 megapixel resolution and up to 12 frames at lower resolutions.

The Z900EXR will capture video in full HD with Pixel Fusion Movie technology helping you out in low light conditions. The camera will also save video in the H.264 format to save space and make it easier to upload to YouTube. Despite the slimness of the camera (just 18.2mm wide) it manages to pack in a 5x wide-angle zoom lens covering 28-140mm (35mm equivalent). Getting back to the style side of things, the Z900EXR comes in four colors: Brilliant Black, Gloss Red, Hot Pink and Royal Blue (or black, red, pink and blue to you and me).

At 18.2mmm the Z900EXR is sufficiently thin enough to fit in your pocket and comes in black, red, pink and blue. As of now there are no pricing details available.

Finally INQ Cloud Touch on sale now for $489. This cool facebook Phone was rumored back in February 2011 .

As the name suggests, it is basically a Smartphone made for Facebook lovers. It has lots of exciting features relating to Facebook. The INQ Cloud Touch runs on Android 2.2, packs a 3.5-inch 480×320 display, an 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, a five MP camera, FM radio, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth.

The Cloud Touch is the first of INQ’s duo of Facebook-obsessed smartphones, soon to be joined by the Cloud Q. INQ says the social network is weaved into the very DNA of the phone, so if it already rules your social life and reins-in your productivity at work, the Cloud Touch will either be a dream come true or the thing that pushes you over the edge into a quivering mania. It’s an Android FroYo 2.2 phone though, so there’s more to this mobile than just your friends’ banal status updates and reams of drunken photos.

The homescreen shows all of Facebook’s newsfeeds from your profile. It also lets you access many other Facebook features like Facebook Chat, Places, Facebook Messages, Notifications, etc. All this can be easily accessed with a tap. You can also sync your Facebook events with Google Calendar, which is pretty neat.

After HTC released its ChaCha and Salsa Facebook phones (not very successfully), INQ Cloud Touch is the second pure Facebook phone to arrive the market. We’ll keep a close eye and see what sort of ratings it’ll receive.

According to Mozilla, it seems that these add-ons are using outdated coding that has been simply tweaked so it can work with the newer version of the browser. In order to warn their users about add-ons that slow down Firefox, Mozilla has created a Slow Performing Add-Ons page that shows top 10 add-ons that may slow down your browser.

Mozilla has cleared that it appears that these add-ons might consist of outdated coding that are also compatible with the latest versions. Just for the sake of the users of Firefox, Mozilla has also organized the list of Slow Performing Add-ons in which top 10 add-ons has been listed that cause slow down

According to the Mozilla, they will check top 100 popular add-ons and test them on weekly basis for slowdown issues. So far, Mozilla has no solution to this problem, but hopefully, add-on developers will update their coding and optimize slowdown issues in the near future.

Mozilla has further detailed its new development model for Firefox. The current draft says Firefox 5 will arrive on June 21, 2011 and Firefox 6 will be released on August 18, 2011. These dates may change, but they’re what the company is currently aiming.

All changes to Firefox source code are initially integrated in the Mozilla-central Mercurial repository. At scheduled intervals (typically 6 weeks), the changes are imported from Mozilla-central to one of three other channels (larger features and projects are usually initially developed in other repositories which track Mozilla-central). In addition to Mozilla-central (currently referred to as nightly), there will also be Firefox-experimental, Firefox-beta, and Firefox (release), each backed by its own Mercurial repository. These names are currently placeholders and Mozilla may still change them.

The Firefox-experimental channel will get new features at regular intervals, but some of them might be disabled if they look like they need more work. The beta channel receives only new features that are slated for the next Firefox release. New features are never directly added to the Firefox-experimental or Firefox-beta channels. In general, each stage of the process (and activity pertaining to a particular version) will last for 6 weeks, but because of the development overlap, we can expect a new version every 6 to 12 weeks.
After the release of Firefox 4, apparently Mozilla has started working on Firefox 5, and according to the news, we should see the final version in June 29th. We are surprised to see that Mozilla will release the new version of its browser so soon, but we’re not complaining. It took a while for Firefox 4 to come out, so the rapid release of Firefox 5 is quite welcoming.

As we’ve found out, Firefox 5 is now in the second stage of development, and it’s already filled with improvements. One of the disclosed improvements is the improved tabbed interface that will allow us to select multiple tabs and view them simultaneously on one screen.

Firefox 5 (pictured above) will be slightly different from future releases due to the lack of a development overlap with Firefox 4. Mozilla announced last month that Firefox 4, Firefox 5, Firefox 6, and Firefox 7 would all ship in 2011. That looked nearly impossible after the delays of Firefox 4, but with this new schedule, the company may manage after all.
Not much information is available about Firefox 5 and its new features at the moment so we can only look forward to a possible June release and look out for more rumored news.

Google introduces Google Talk Guru to Google Talk that lets you ask simple questions. It’s “an experimental service that allows people to get information like sports results, weather forecasts, definitions etc via chat. It works on many popular chat applications that support Google Talk.”

Google Talk Guru is an experimental new service from Google Labs that works with Google Talk. To tell you the truth, Google Talk Guru is actually a chatbot for Google Talk that can fetch all sorts of information for you.
Google Talk Guru can obtain all sorts of information such as sports results, weather, definitions, translations and so much more, and all that you have to do is to add guru@googlelabs.com to your Google Talk contact list, click it, and ask your question. If you want to get valid answer, you’ll have to use specific keywords, so keep that in mind.

Although Google Talk Guru cannot replace a real person, it’s still great because it can provide you with all sorts of information, so if you’re bored make sure that you try it out

The D5100 is 16.2 megapixel DX CMOS sensor and an EXPEED 2 processor, an increase in resolution from the D5000′s 12.3 megapixels. Handling other image capture chores are an 11-point AF system and a 420-pixel 3D Color Matrix metering system.

An ISO range of 100-6400 is available to D5100 shooters, with options to expand up to 25,600 ISO. A new Night Vision mode is offered in still and video record modes, cranking up ISO to an equivalent of 102,400. This is offered as a creative mode to produce a night vision look.

The D5100 will offer a 3.0-inch vari-angle LCD, a bump up from the D5000′s 2.7-inch screen. The new monitor will boast 921k-dots of resolution and an impressive 1000:1 contrast ratio. Burst shooting is available at a maximum of 4 fps.

Video recording is offered at 1080 or 720 HD at 24 or 30p for a maximum of 20 minutes per clip. Full time auto focus is available in movie recording, and Live View is now available via a switch on the top panel of the camera near the shutter release. Nikon also adds creative effect filters to still image and movie capture models filters were previously only available for stills. The new models include selective color, color sketch and miniature effect.

ME-1 Microphone
Nikon also announces an external microphone today. The ME-1 is designed with DSLR video recording in mind, equipped with dampeners to combat AF noise. Any camera with a 3.5mm stereo input jack is compatible with the ME-1, including Nikon’s own D3s, D300s and D7000 DSLRs.

The Nikon D5100 will be available this month for $799.95 body-only or $899.95 with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 ED VR kit lens. The Nikon ME-1 microphone will cost $179.95 and is also expected to be available this month.
